OE Utility Services is the largest provider of hydro-excavation services using hydrovac technology (high-pressure water and vacuum soil removal) in the Greater Toronto Area (“GTA”). OE Utility Services operates a large fleet of hydrovac trucks, unshrinkable-fill cement trucks, and aggregate dump trucks.  


We are continuing to grow and need a 310T Licensed Mechanic, Afternoon to join our team at our main facility in Concord, Ontario.

Requirements:

• 310T license or 310J red seal preferred. Will consider 310S, 421A license or 3rd or 4th year apprentice with relevant experience.

• Valid class “G” driver’s license for the Province of Ontario, with a clean driver’s abstract. DZ driver's license is an asset.

• Must own your own tools

• 3+ years of practical experience performing major and minor repairs on heavy trucks.

• Extensive knowledge in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, power trains, electrical and hydraulic systems. Previous experience working on hydro-excavation vehicles and equipment is an asset.

• Basic proficiency with computer use. Experience in the use of engine diagnostic software is an asset.

• Good reading, verbal, and written English skills.

• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.

• Must possess the recommended hand tools. Specialty tools will be provided.

• Must be able to wear and use all required safety equipment such as, but not limited to: Hi-vis wear, hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, respiratory protection, and fall protection for working at heights.

• Work environment: Generally, work will be performed in the shop, however road calls and work in a vehicle yard may be required. Regular exposure to seasonal weather, dust, and other environmental factors.

• Repetitive work involving manual labor and routine maintenance tasks.

• Manual dexterity to operate a variety of necessary hand and power tools, machinery, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

• Extended periods of stooping, bending, kneeling, and standing, as well as other physically demanding activities.

• Repetitive movements: ability to climb ladders, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

• Exposure to hazards associated with the automotive, maintenance and construction industries, including moving vehicles (commercial, passenger and heavy-equipment vehicles) temperature surfaces, and mechanical equipment. 

• Occasional overtime may be required to respond to emergencies during irregular hours.

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

KEY Responsibilities


Responsibilities:  maintaining our fleet of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles.  This includes complete servicing and repairs of vehicles, along with preventative maintenance.
