About the Role

We’re looking for a Dispatch Scheduler / Planner to join our Operations team and play a key role in keeping our people, vehicles, and equipment moving efficiently to meet customer needs.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in scheduling, workforce planning, or dispatch (construction/utility/fleet experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills; you can juggle multiple moving parts without missing a beat.
- Clear and confident communicator who works well with both customers and internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP or scheduling software experience is an asset.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure.

- Some travel within the GTA may be required.
- May be required to wear PPE (Hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses)
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
KEY Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
As our Dispatch Scheduler / Planner, you’ll be at the hub that keeps our operation running: helping coordinate our people, vehicles, and equipment to ensure we can respond effectively to operational and customer needs.
Scheduling & Operational Planning
- Build and manage daily schedules for crews, vehicles, and equipment.
- Coordinate both scheduled and emerging urgent customer service requests.
- Monitor resource availability, adjusting schedules as operational needs change.
- Coordinate with operations and sales teams to align scheduling and resource allocation with business priorities.
- Support after-hours scheduling requirements and participate in the On-Call rotation.
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, resource utilization, and overall operational efficiency.
Customer/Employee Support
- Act as a key point of contact for employees, supervisors, and customers regarding scheduling and service coordination.
- Communicate schedule changes, delays, job requirements, and other important updates in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to customer requests and operational issues, helping coordinate solutions and escalating concerns when required.
- Provide responsive, solutions-focused support while balancing employee, operational, and customer needs.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling and job records.
- Track and report on key operational information, including utilization, equipment downtime, and scheduling changes.
- Maintain schedule related to vacation requests, employee availability, and job detail requirements.
- Support compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable scheduling and operational documentation.
- Assist with preparing operational reports and identifying trends or gaps that may require follow-up.
