OE is continuing to grow and we have a need to add to our team. We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our Oshawa yard team.
Reporting to the GTAE Operations Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the daily activities in the field and ensuring materials and equipment are organized to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities, includes but is not limited to:
· Assist in the evaluation of prospective and existing field staff.
· Shop duties include morning and afternoon assistance/presence of Operators pre and post scheduled projects.
· Assist with dispatching units and schedule projects on a daily basis.
· Manage daily and weekly Operator form collections. Review and correct where needed (crewman’s checklist, JSSA, Work orders, VIR. VMR)
· Maintain the office/yard and monitor consumable/material levels.
· Communicate with clients, with a customer service focus in absence of Operations Manager.
· Conduct site visits prior to review job scope and site when required.
· Aid in completion of monthly onsite truck audits.
· Coordinate SUE (Subsurface Utility Engineering) projects on site and ensure all is going to plan, communicate with field staff, customer and ensure production goals are met.
job requirements
· 5+ years jobsite experience in Hydro Excavation and/or Subsurface Utility Engineering projects or equivalent.
· Valid DZ License with clean driver’s record (required to float Hydrovac trucks and equipment for maintenance).
· Strong organization and time management skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft office: Word, excel, outlook.
· Mechanically inclined with a good understanding of hydrovac and construction equipment.
· Self-directed, able to work independently or as part of a team.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.
