OE Utility Services is the largest provider of hydro-excavation services using hydrovac technology (high-pressure water and vacuum soil removal) in the Greater Toronto Area (“GTA”). OE Utility Services operates a large fleet of hydrovac trucks, unshrinkable-fill cement trucks, and aggregate dump trucks.
We are continuing to grow and need a Lube Technician, Afternoon to join our team at our main facility in Concord Ontario.
Under the direction of the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, the incumbent will primarily be responsible to work with the Maintenance Team to complete preventative and light maintenance.
The lube technician will be required to adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:00 pm to midnight (4 days/10 hours).
Benefits: 3 weeks’ vacation, matching RSP contributions, discretionary bonus, and participation in the company group benefit plan which includes health, dental, vision, disability life insurance, EAP program etc. Includes a protective footwear allowance per year.
Starting hourly rate ranges $23.00-$26.00 per hour-subject to relevant comparable experience. Additional $2.00 per hour afternoon shift premium.

• Valid G class Ontario driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary automotive education is an asset.
• Previous related experience with knowledge of tool and equipment safety is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, with the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to adapt to new technology, including diagnostic tools and specialized maintenance equipment and online digital platforms
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Solid organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Must be able to wear and use all required safety equipment such as, but not limited to: Hi-vis wear, hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, respiratory protection, and fall protection.
• Work environment: indoors and outdoors, including construction sites and similar areas, with regular exposure to seasonal weather, dust, and other environmental factors.
• Repetitive work involving manual labor and routine maintenance tasks.
• Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment.
• Extended periods of stooping, bending, and kneeling.
• Extended periods of stooping, bending, kneeling, and standing, as well as other physically demanding activities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Exposure to hazards associated with the automotive, maintenance and construction industries, including moving vehicles (commercial, passenger and heavy-equipment vehicles) temperature surfaces, and mechanical equipment.
• Occasional overtime may be required to respond to emergencies during irregular hours.
KEY Responsibilities
• Work with the Maintenance Team to complete preventative and light maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform vehicle inspection, checking for general wear and tear, irregularities, and potential safety issues.
• Check and adjust tire pressures, assess fluid levels, and conduct minor repairs.
• Perform oil changes, lubrication, tire work, and other basic repairs.
• Replace air filters, windshield wipers, light bulbs, and other easily maintained parts.
• Back up and support maintenance shop hand when required.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork associated with the tasks being performed
• Comply with applicable legislation, company rules, and policies.
• Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working condition and maintain the organization of the maintenance area
• Assist in the identification of parts needing replacement or repair and help order new parts as necessary.
• Maintain inventory of lubricants, oils, filters, and other necessary parts and materials.
• Other duties as required, including support with seasonal vehicle preparation or emergency maintenance.
