Why Is This Work Being Done?


Enbridge Gas Inc. is dedicated to delivering safe and reliable natural gas service to approximately 3.8 million customers across Ontario.

As part of this ongoing commitment, your address has been identified as requiring an upgrade to its natural gas distribution line. A section of your service line was flagged through one of Enbridge's inspection programs as requiring maintenance due to its age.

OE Utility Services, a trusted Enbridge contractor, will be performing all work on their behalf. Our crews are fully trained, certified, and experienced in gas distribution upgrades.

You receive this notification identifying your address as part of the 2026 AMP program.

Scheduled Week Notice

OE delivers a second notice with the specific week your work is planned.

Excavation & Upgrade

Our crew excavates at your gas meter and upgrades the support piping below grade.

Service Reconnection

Lakeside Gas Services reconnects your service and reactivates your appliances.

Property Restored

All disturbed surfaces restored — soft surfaces same day, hard within two weeks.

  • Why was my address selected for this program?

    A section of your service line has been identified through one of Enbridge's inspection programs as requiring maintenance. Due to the age of the service line, Enbridge would like to take the opportunity to replace this section as part of the 2026 AMP Riser Replacement Program.

  • Where are the gas mains and service lines located?

    The natural gas mains are located in the municipal right-of-way, which may include the street, sidewalk, and/or boulevard. The service lines are generally located on the home or business owner's property.

  • Will the location of my gas meter change?

    If you currently have an inside gas meter, it will be moved outdoors. OE Utility Services will contact you in advance to discuss the new location. If you have an outside gas meter, the location will likely not change.

  • Will there be a disruption to my gas service?

    Yes, there will be a temporary interruption to your gas service during the work. If you are unavailable to provide access for Lakeside Gas Services, please contact Enbridge Gas at 1-877-362-7434 when you return home to arrange reactivation. Have your Enbridge account number ready and reference the AMP Riser Replacement Program.

  • What is the impact on my property and neighbourhood?

    OE Utility Services and Enbridge will strive to minimize disruption to your property and neighbourhood. Care will be taken to satisfactorily restore the area upon completion. Inclement weather may delay the immediate replacement of sod, asphalt, or concrete.

  • What do I need to do before the work begins?

    Please: (1) ensure the area around your gas meter is clear of debris; (2) leave any gates unlocked for easy access; and (3) if you reside in a rental property, notify your landlord of the upcoming work.

  • How much will this cost me?

    Nothing. This work will be carried out at no cost to you. All costs associated with the upgrade, excavation, and property restoration are fully covered.

If you reside in a rental property, please notify your landlord of the upcoming work and share this information with them.

Access Required

Lakeside Gas Services will need access to your home or business to reconnect your service and reactivate appliances on the day of work.

Clear the Area

Please ensure the area around your gas meter is clear of debris and any gates are left unlocked for easy entry on the day of work.
